For The Love Of All That Is Holy

Anyone who’s been reading this blog for, well, pretty much ever, knows that we come from a certain perspective when it comes to political matters.  I don’t work for a 501(c)3 organization, so I am absolutely allowed to request that you vote for a particular candidate, and I sincerely hope that everyone reading this post ends up voting for Barack Obama for President.

However, whoever you plan on voting for, I absolutely insist that you exercise your right to vote.  Tomorrow, Monday, October 6th, is the deadline for voter registration in the state of Colorado.  If you are not yet registered, or if you would like to make sure that you are registered for a mail-in ballot (my personal recommendation, since it beats the hell out of getting stuck in line for hours on voting day, something that almost happened to me in ’04), you can do so via the Obama campaign’s VoteForChange.com website, regardless of your party affiliation.

I try not to ask much of you, our Faithful Readers, but, seriously, if you can’t be bothered to put down the cheesey poofs long enough to fill out a web form, then to fill out the ballot when it comes back, then I really having nothing to say to you…

  1. Uhhhhh….. AMEN!!!!!

No. Really. As an American, you have one guaranteed voice. That is your vote. Please use it. Or shut the fuck up.

And if you’re not in a cool state like Colorado, sign up to get an absentee ballot. It’s a great way to help yourself get educated about the issues in your local area and take your time making the vote that you believe is the best for your community. My ballot arrived last week and I’m excited!
