Via Litbrit, this is the best ad I’ve seen the Obama campaign run all through the primary and the general election.
I hate the use of repetitive cliches as part of a political campaign, things like ‘voted with Bush 90% of the time’ and ‘for the Bridge to Nowhere before she was against it’ and ‘that’s not change – that’s more of the same’. But I know that they’re politically necessary, and I think the ones the Obama campaign settled on are accurate, true, and pretty effective. This ad does a great job of fitting them in with hard-hitting graphics, and a good, serious tone. As I say in the title – it’s about damn time.
